你只有两只手、两只脚。
You’ve got two arms and two legs too.
那章鱼呢？有人知道吗？
And the octopus? Does anybody know?
如果你知道，可得必须告诉我！
If you know, tell me, please, do!
这样的珍物住在那深深的海底
Such a creature lives in the deep
海波中，是它在肆意跳跃，
Where through the sea-waves it can leap,
就像一位优雅的芭蕾舞者，向前方舞去，
Like a dancing ballet star, it swims forward,
又消失在远方
So very far.
硕大的脑袋，就像罐头，
It has a large head, like a can,
两只眼睛 藏在其中
With two eyes inside
从中生出的，只有许多腿脚，
And only legs, growing right from there,
一双又一双
A few pairs.
也许也不全是腿，还有长着手的只只臂膀
Maybe they are not legs , but arms with hands
它是踩着上方走路的吗？
To walk on them on the bottom?
不知是手是脚，从头顶伸出？
Arms or legs, right from the head?
你觉得呢？
What answer can you offer?
章鱼用它们波动着海水，
Can it, itself, as it ruffles the water,
静静地，在海里游动
Going forward quite slow,
快来告诉我吧
Give the honest answer
它到底有多少只手脚？
How many arms and legs it has got?
“数清楚可太难了
And it depends, and it’s quite hard.
我是数不清了
Well, I don’t know if I can count,
一只手，或一条腿
An arm or a leg, you see,
就像飘荡的海水，捉摸不透”
It flows like water, you understand.
“无论是我喝咖啡、可乐，或是白水
When I drink coffee, cola, water,
梳妆、打电话或是和乐队一起演奏
Make up my face, talk on the phone, play music with a band
又还是打扫卫生，烫熨我的衣服，
Tidy my house, iron my clothes,
这些，我都只用手去做”
I do it only with my hands.
“但当我需要弯腰，试鞋子，
But when I kneel, try on my shoes,
踢足球，穿袜子
Play football, wear my socks
这些，我都只用腿去做，
I stamp only with my legs,
就像转圈或是跳跃舞蹈。”
turning around and dancing rock.
“清晨，我做着瑜伽
In the morning I do yoga.
如此畅快
I do it to feel free.
我手脚缠绕
I make figures of my legs and arms,
百变如此，相互交替”
Four and four, evenly.
“这些只是手缠在一起，这些只是腿缠在一起
Here are hands only, there are legs
或者手手脚脚互相缠绕在一起。
Or there are as many legs as there are arms.
左伸到右边，右伸到左边，
Right is left and left is right,
这是天赋，你可羡慕不来。”
That’s nature- you can’t fight.
“有时它是三只手，五条腿，
So once it is three to five,
有时又是六只手，两条腿。
And then it’s six to two.
今天，它是手，明天，又变成了腿。
Today its an arm, tomorrow it’s a leg.
这就是我，真实、百变！”
And this is me. It’s true!
“太混乱？区分不清？
Distracted? Thoughtful?
哈哈，我也经常困惑。
Oh, I can really get confused by it.
这是一只手？
An arm?
不对，这可不是手——这是一条腿。
No, not an arm- that’s a leg.
就像变化多端的天气——女人不就是这样。”
Changeable like weather – that’s what a woman is like.
“也许你我会在深海相遇，
And if we meet down in the depths,
好巧不巧，就在那深深的海底，
By accident, on the very bottom of that sea,
也许，你如一位绅士
Maybe, like a gentleman,
介绍给彼此认识”
You’d like to introduce yourself to me.
“在深海的海床向我打个招呼吧，
Saying hello in the depths, on the sea-bed,
也许你会和我握个手，
You’d like to shake hands with me,
但是谁知道呢，我可能用的是我的脚。”
But you might get my leg instead.
创作故事
“绘本《章鱼》是一个简单有趣的故事，书中以一种微妙的方式展现了这个具有复杂女性特征，拥有着多重身份的主人公。
故事的灵感来源于著名的浮世绘作品：采珠女与一只章鱼缠绵在一起的画面。但是，在我的书中我直接将两者合二为一，变为一个手脚缠绕在一起的章鱼女士——她情绪多变、神秘无比、非常感性又充满着矛盾，纤细的心灵隐藏在海怪的躯体中。

关于章鱼的绘本故事 第4篇
章鱼对各种器皿嗜好成癫，渴望藏身于空心的器皿之中。章鱼不只爱钻瓶罐，凡是容器，它都爱钻进去栖身。鉴于章鱼有钻器皿的嗜好，人们常常用瓦罐、瓶子一渔具捕捉章鱼。
章鱼聪明吗？
章鱼具有_概念思维_，能够独自解决复杂的问题，正是此种能力使其具有用两足行走的本领。。章鱼有很发达的眼睛，这是它与人类唯一的相似之处。它在其它方面与人很不相同:章鱼有三个心脏，两个记忆系统(一个是大脑记忆系统，另一个记忆系统则直接与吸盘相连)，章鱼大脑中有5亿个神经元，身上还一些非常敏感的化学的和触觉的感受器。这种独特的神经构造使其具有超过一般动物的思维能力。
